Albany Police Department Scam Warning

The Albany Police Department have been fielding complaints from
people outside of New York that claim they have been contacted by an individual
who claims to be from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigations or the
Albany Bureau of Criminal Investigations. This person tells the victim’s
that they have arrest warrants out for them and they need to send money to
resolve the issue. The individual calls from ported cell phone numbers
with a 518 area code. The Albany Police Department is currently investigating this scam.
