RFP 2017:23 Ambulance Transportation Services

The City of Albany requests proposals from qualified licensed ambulance service providers to provide ambulance transportation services in cooperation with the Emergency Medical Services provided by the City of Albany Department of Fire & Emergency Services.  As an example of the volume of emergency medical service calls handled by the City of Albany Department of Fire & Emergency Services, in 2017 there were approximately 18,000 EMS calls, of which approximately 15,000 patient or patients required transportation to an area hospital.  The City of Albany Department of Fire & Emergency Services shall have patient care control of all Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support services in the City of Albany.  In addition, the City of Albany Department of Fire & Emergency Services shall be in charge at all calls in which both the City and the selected proposer participate.
