o Open week days 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
o Open SATURDAY, JANUARY 28 9:00 a.m. – NOON
o NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED (credit card payments by internet only)
· No partial payments accepted (Note: Senior Citizen Exemption Only -- First Installment due on or before January 31. Second Installment due on or before July 31)
· Include interest if paying after January 31
· Check box on receiver’s stub and return entire bill to receive a receipt
· Please sign and date your check
· Please write account or property tax map number on check
· United States Postmark determines if payment was timely – (not postage meter mark)
important note: ALL PAYMENTS WILL BE PROCESSED AND IMMEDIATELY DEPOSITED ON THE DATE RECEIVED. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS ON DEPOSIT AT THE TIME YOU MAKE YOUR PAYMENT!!
INTERNET PAYMENT SERVICE:
Pay by credit card or check online by clicking “online payments” at www.albanyny.gov
Return Checks:
· A check returned by a bank for insufficient funds or any other reason will void the payment. A $34 return check fee will be charged. Interest and penalties will be due if payment in full for taxes is not made by cash, bank check or money order before January 31.
EXEMPTIONS:
· Contact the City Assessors Office at (518) 434-5155 for information on exemptions. Exemption applications for 2013 may be filed from January 1 until March 1.
