Animal ControlOverviewThe Animal Control Unit is responsible for:
- Responding to complaints in which dogs are:
- Unlicensed
- Off a leash
- Treated poorly
- Biting
- Fighting
- Assisting patrol units when they encounter possible rabid animals.
- Acting as a resource to patrol regarding animal complaints or maltreatment of all kinds.
- Being on call 24 hours a day for dog complaints.
- Assisting officers in preparing for court
