Assistant Chief Steven Krokoff

Assistant Chief Steven Krokoff is a 15-year veteran of the Albany Police Department. He rose through the ranks of the Patrol Division before being promoted to Detective Sergeant in the Office of Professional Standards. He rose to the rank of Commander in charge of that office before taking over the command of Investigations. In March of 2004 he became in charge of the Criminal Investigation Unit, Children and Family Services Unit, Forensics Unit, and the Community Response Unit. In October of 2005, Steve was promoted to Assistant Chief where he is in charge of Operations. He supervises the Patrol Division, Special Operations, and the Detective Division.
