Directions to Washington Park
(to main park entrance at New Scotland Avenue and Madison Avenue)

From the north:
Take I-87 south to exit 7. Merge onto NY-7 east toward Troy/Cohoes. Merge onto I-787 S toward Albany. Take the Madison Ave exit, exit 3B, toward US-20 west. Stay straight on Madison Avenue. Washington Park will be on your right roughly a mile from the exit.

From the south:
Take I-87 north to exit 23. Take a left onto route 9W/Southern Blvd. heading north into Albany. After about one mile, route 9W turns right and becomes Delaware Avenue. Follow Delaware Avenue to Madison Avenue and take a left. Washington Park will be on your right.

From the west:
Take I-90 east toward I-87 N/Albany/Montreal. Take the Arbor Hill exit, exit 6, and merge onto US-9 south. Turn left onto Clinton Avenue. Turn right onto Lark Street. Turn right onto Madison Avenue. Washington Park will be on your right.

From the east:
Take I-90 east toward I-87 N/Albany/Montreal. Take the Arbor Hill exit, exit 6, and merge onto US-9 south. Turn left on Clinton Avenue. Turn right onto Lark Street. Turn right onto Madison Avenue. Washington Park will be on your right.


Directions to Tulip Festival parking:
Free parking is located at the Eagle Street garage and Elk Street lot. From the New Scotland & Madison Avenue entrance of Washington Park, proceed east on Madison Avenue to Eagle Street. Eagle Street garage will be on your left at this intersection. For the Elk Street lot, take a left onto Eagle Street from Madison. Follow Eagle Street past the Capitol and Albany City Hall to the end and take a left onto Elk Street. The Elk Street lot is located on the right at the intersection of Elk and N. Hawk Street.

Free shuttle service at the Tulip Festival is available courtesy of CDTA. CDTA hybrid buses will transport festival-goers continuously throughout the weekend between Washington Park and these free parking areas.

Street parking is also free in any non-restricted metered spots adjacent to the park.
