2008 Proposed Street and Sidewalk Projects

The City of Albany Department of General Services’ engineers select the streets and sidewalks to be repaved and reconstructed each year in the City of Albany. Our goal is to provide a well-balanced street and sidewalk improvement program, consistent with available funding. Program funding is comprised of both City and outside funding sources. In recent years, traditional outside funding sources have been reduced due to State and Federal budget reductions. Despite on-going funding constraints, the City’s street improvement program has continued to grow. Our program is designed to complete the most work possible within the six-month warm weather construction season.
