Dead Animal Removal
The City of Albany provides dead animal disposal service to its residents for animals that have died naturally or have been killed accidentally. After a request for removal has been made, the dead animal remains must be placed between the sidewalk and the curb, preferably in a plastic bag. Animal or parts of animals from slaughterhouses are not included in this service. This service includes most animals with the exception of Dogs.

How the Service is Obtained
Dead animal removal is provided on a 24-hour basis. To obtain this service a resident may call the Department of General Services at 434-CITY.
