Road Closures and Parking Restrictions for BOTH St. Patrick’s Day Parade – City of Albany March 13, 2010
North Albany Limerick Parade Noon -1PM The North Albany Limerick Parade route:
Kick Off - N. First Street west of N. Pearl Street at the North Albany Post; parade will proceed east to N. Pearl Street then south on N. Pearl Street to Emmett Street; east on Emmett Street to Broadway; North on Broadway to Wolfert Avenue in the Village of Menands; back to south on N. Pearl Street back to N. First Street.
Road Closures:N. First Street between Broadway and Van Rensselaer Ave.
N. Pearl Street between Wolfert Avenue and Emmett Street.
Broadway between Wolfert Avenue and Emmett Street.
N. Second Street eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl Street.
N. Third Street eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl Street.
Lawn Avenue eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl Street.
Bonheim Street eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl Street.
Lindbergh Avenue eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at N. Pearl Street.
There will not be any parking restrictions for this parade.
Albany St. Patrick’s Day Parade, 2PM – 4PM
Parade Route:Central Avenue starting at Quail Street, parade will proceed east on Central Avenue to Washington Avenue; then east on Washington Avenue to State Street; east on State Street to Pearl Street; north on N. Pearl Street to Steuben Street; parade disperses between Columbian Street and Van Tromp Street.
Road Closures:Starting at 1:15PM Central Avenue between Manning Boulevard and Quail Street will be closed for parade lineup.
At 1:45PM Parade Route will be closed to ALL Traffic: Central Avenue starting at Quail Street, parade will proceed east on Central Avenue to Washington Avenue; then east on Washington Avenue to State Street; east on State Street to Pearl Street; north on N. Pearl Street to Steuben Street; parade disperses between Columbian Street and Van Tromp Street.
All cross streets along the parade route will be closed as the parade progresses along the route starting at 1:45PM.
Parking Restrictions:March 13, 2010, 8AM-4PM
N. Pearl Street both sides between State Street and Sheridan Avenue.
N. Pearl Street west side between Sheridan Avenue and Orange Street.
March 13, 2010, Noon -4PM
State Street, north side from Pearl Street and Eagle Street.
Central Avenue, both sides from Ontario Street and Quail Street.
Eagle Street, east side from Corning Place and Pine Street.
